Preliminary sketches of details on the guitar.
The first step: Sketches onto the guitar body with fine liner - this step was kind of like working on a white board as the fine liner could be easily wiped off if I stuffed it up!
The first layer of paint was put on directly over pen - in this photo you can still see the fine liner.
The finished product - once the first layer of paint had been allowed to try completely, the fine liner was wiped off with a damp cloth. A few finishing touches, and my signature were added and it was ready to go!
Thankfully Sue liked it!
